Thankful Christmas Tree Night!

Day 5 of our Advent Calendar!

Fudgy the elf showed up today hanging out on the deer. This little elf is proving to be lots of fun! The kids have been telling everyone about him and how you can't touch him or else his magically powers will go away and he won't be able to fly back to the North Pole to tell Santa how good they have been!

Tonight our Advent Activity was "make a thankful Christmas tree for the dining room".
1st we had to trace the kids hands, cut them out and then make a gazillion copies of the hands and cut those out as well. This project took a LOT of cut out hands. Then we had to roll the fingers of each hand and arrange them on the wall into a tree. Chris & I ended up doing most of the tracing and cutting and I rolled up all of the fingers and it took a lot of time, but in the end it came out really cute and was worth it. Each person (even Ozzie has an ornament) made an ornament to put on the tree that said what they were thankful for. Broedy got creative with my scrapbooking cutting stuff and make little lights to put on the tree as well!

Myles being goofy with my scrapbooking stuff!

Adalyn hung out on the table and watched. She was so tired though and I finally went and put her in bed.

Cutting out one of the many hands!

The finished tree! Isn't it adorable? We have it on the wall in our dining room and I'm praying Myles doesn't destroy it before Christmas. He has a thing lately with ripping up paper and I'm worried this tree is going to be his next project.
