Maritime Museum

Today we took the kids to the Maritime Museum in San Diego. It's a museum of a collection of ships and boats. It was fun to explore so many ships/boats/submarine's all at one time.

This was us going into the USS Dolphin which is a very old submarine.

Walking through the sub. I can't imagine living on this thing for even a day, yet many people lived on this sub for up to 6 to 9 months at a time.
Checking out the periscope.

Heading off to another ship.

This ship was docked nearby. Being on the water today made me miss Michigan. I miss living near the water and being able to watch ships and big freighters go by.

This was an old yacht that was owned by a famous family.

This sitting room on the yacht.

A Freighter that we watched.

An aircraft carrier.

On another sailboat.

Us on another Submarine. This one was larger than the 1st one we went on.

The gallery where they ate.

Sleeping quarters on the submarine.

We had to be able to fit through this circle in order to go on the submarine. There were three or four of these small spaces we had to crawl though once we were on the submarine.

Another really cool sailboat. There was actually a movie that was taped on this sailboat.

Me and the kids.

Checking out the steering wheel.

Another sailboat we checked out.

Inside the sailboat.
