Sunset Crater Volcano National Park

After checking out Walnut Canyon, we headed over the Sunset Crater Volcano National Park. There was a loop you could drive and it took you through Volcano Ash, cinders and Pueblo homes. We took the loop and stopped several times to do some small hikes and check things out.

Raelyn & Broedy on the Volcano Ash hike. We didn't go very far. It was later in the evening and it was pretty windy and the kids were getting cold.

The boys climbing up into the pueblo home. These were very different than the cliff dwellings and it was fun to check them out.

Myles in one of the pueblo home rooms. This was actually one of the largest pueblo homes we saw and it stated that they think up to three families lived in at one time.
