Some kids have blankets, some kids have pillows they carry around (like my nieces and nephews), some of them have bottles, some have books, stuffed animals or other various "lovey" things they get attached too. My children love binkies. If you know me and my kids, you know they love their binkies!
I used to let what others think about binkies bother me and I took Broedy's away at 2 1/2 years of age. It was a total nightmare and something I promised myself I would never repeat.
Now, binkies don't bother me at all, if my kids want them until they are 10 well, go for it! I've never met a High School Student with a binky and I'm pretty sure if you walk through the mall you won't be able to tell who had a binky at age three and who didn't.
In other words, as a mom with four wonderful kids, I have bigger fish to fry and in all honesty, if a binky makes them happy, well having a happy kid means I'm a happy Mommy!
This morning I was in the kitchen and Adalyn came in on the ride on toy. She was so cute sitting there so I got my camera out and took a picture of her. After I snapped this picture:

I decided to pull her binky out of her mouth to see if I could get her to smile and this is the reaction I got from her:

She started throwing a fit!

So I put the binky back in her mouth and life was good again! (can you see my other munkin in the background with his beloved binky?)

What can I say, we have lots of binky love around our house!
