Family Fun Friday at our House!

Tonight we hosted "Family Fun Friday" at our house! It was a fun time of just hanging out, eating good food and staying cool in this hot Arizona weather! Here are a few pictures from tonight!

My little helper!

Today I was cleaning the house and getting ready to host "Family Fun Friday" at our house! Adalyn has been pretty clingy lately and so she followed me around most of the day "helping" me!

I was unloading the dishwasher, turned around to put something away and when I turned back around, this is what I found:

She is such a little monkey these days!

Then I started to wash the sliding glass door and the next thing I knew, she had a wash cloth and was helping me!

I think she qualifies as the cutest window washer there is!

Binky Love

Some kids have blankets, some kids have pillows they carry around (like my nieces and nephews), some of them have bottles, some have books, stuffed animals or other various "lovey" things they get attached too. My children love binkies. If you know me and my kids, you know they love their binkies!

I used to let what others think about binkies bother me and I took Broedy's away at 2 1/2 years of age. It was a total nightmare and something I promised myself I would never repeat.

Now, binkies don't bother me at all, if my kids want them until they are 10 well, go for it! I've never met a High School Student with a binky and I'm pretty sure if you walk through the mall you won't be able to tell who had a binky at age three and who didn't.

In other words, as a mom with four wonderful kids, I have bigger fish to fry and in all honesty, if a binky makes them happy, well having a happy kid means I'm a happy Mommy!

This morning I was in the kitchen and Adalyn came in on the ride on toy. She was so cute sitting there so I got my camera out and took a picture of her. After I snapped this picture:

I decided to pull her binky out of her mouth to see if I could get her to smile and this is the reaction I got from her:

She started throwing a fit!

So I put the binky back in her mouth and life was good again! (can you see my other munkin in the background with his beloved binky?)

What can I say, we have lots of binky love around our house!

Meet our Newest Kindergartener!

This morning I took the kids to "meet the teacher". Raelyn starts Kindergarten this year. She has been really excited about starting, yet today she acted really shy when meeting her teacher. Here is a picture of her at her desk! She'll start on Monday.

My sweet, sleeping little girl!

She was having a fit when I tried to put her in her crib tonight. She ended up in our bed and within minutes was fast asleep! She's not spoiled or anything:-)

The Play Room!

With school about to start around here, I made the kids help me clean the playroom. This is what our lovely play room looked like before we started!

And after an hour and a half of cleaning, this is what it looked like!

Much Better:-)

My Monkey Girl!

We find her on the table almost daily! She is such a climber and climbs on just about everything!

Dust Storms!

The last couple of nights we have had dust storms come through. It's been fun to watch them come up and over the mountains!

We watched this one completly engulf the mountain.

Broedy watching from the top of the playhouse.

Adalyn watching from the upstairs loft.

This was another one that came though just last night.

Mud Mania

Today I went on a field trip with work to Mud Mania. Chris meet me there so our kids could join in on the fun! It was HOT (120 degrees HOT), but it was a ton of fun. Broedy was really the only one willing to get muddy though. Myles & Raelyn had a fit about getting muddy.

Myles going down the slide into the mud.

Getting his feet muddy. He had a fit and wouldn't go through the rest of the obstacle course because his shoes were muddy. Go figure!

Heading out of the mud!

Broedy went through the bid kid mud obstacle course and did really well!

Ready, Set, GO!

Swinging through the air.

Going through the tubes.

Up the rope wall!

Through the mud!

He was so muddy!

Getting ready to go army crawl through the mud!

Adalyn loved the bounce house and kept climbing in!

Myles came down the slide backwards!

All the kids - after the kids played for a little bit, they did a puppet show, sang songs, learned a bible verse and played some group games.

Raelyn in the front singing her little heart out!

Part of the puppet show and bible story!

Trying to get Myles to do the motions to the song!

Towards the end he finally joined in a little bit.

Raelyn dancing away! She loves to sing!
