A Parade!

Today our little town of Laveen had a parade! It was a beautiful day and since the parade was only about 5 miles away, we decided to bike over to the parade with our friends and their children. It was good exercise to get 10 miles of biking in today:-)

LOTS of horses in the parade this year.

Our church had a float and walked in the parade. Here are some of the members of our church walking in the parade.

The theme of our church's float this year was "Ain't Laveen Grape" They were decked out in grape shirts and passed out grape candy!

One thing I LOVE about where we live is the diversity and culture our children are exposed to all of the time. The parade had Chinese New Year Dragons in it. These horses were the best. All people from mexico in mexico clothing and the horses actually "danced" their way down the street. It was very cool to watch.

They fell asleep on the way back home after the parade.
