Arizona Science Center

Today the kids and I headed to the Arizona Science Center. There are a lot of really neat, hands on stuff to do there and we had a really good time!

Checking out how wind makes waves.

Adalyn not so sure if she wanted to play in the mud!

Raelyn...the kids loved this area. It was a demonstration of how water moves sand and they kids would build dams, rivers and what not with the sand and water. They spent a lot of time just digging in the mud and moving it around!

Broedy on the weather stimulator! This was really cool. You stood on this big circle that was surrounded by screens and it took you though tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, thunderstorms and rain storms and the floor would move and you would actually get wet! The kids loved it!

Looking at a volcano stimulator!

Broedy trying to catch the little balls falling...this was pretty cool too!

Broedy & Raelyn behind the screen.

Myles and Adalyn playing with magnets!

Raelyn pulling herself up!

Adalyn paling with air and balls! Air would shoot out the tubes and make the
balls float in the air!

I decided to give it a try!

If you need a good laugh!

Why having a toddler is like being at a Frat Party! I came across this and just had to share! Make sure and scroll down to read some of the comments as well! Way too funny!

Five on Friday!

1. We took the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, the sequel this week! It was quite the adventure! Adalyn didn't last the whole movie, but the other three kids did great and we had a really good time!

2. We had a Mom's Group pool party this week! It was fun to get to hang out with all my Mom friends again and enjoy the kids swimming!

3. Went to the doctor today for a spot on my ankle. We're going to try a steroid cream on it for 3 weeks and see if that helps! If not, then I will have to have a biopsy done on it.

4. The kids have re-discovered our wii and all our games for it! It's getting used a lot during the day with these hot, hot Arizona summer days.

5. It's been a whirlwind of a week around here. Chris had a phone interview for a teaching position in MI on Wednesday. He flies to MI tomorrow for a 2nd interview that will happen on Wednesday. We would appreciate prayers for safe travel and a really good interview. We are trying to not get our hopes up too high, yet we also want this so badly. Prayers for peace and calmness for us and that God's will be done in all of this.

Lazy Summer Days!

It's been in the 100's here in Sunny Arizona for awhile and so we spend our days hanging out by the pool and eating otter pops!! What else is there to do in AZ when it hits the 100's?!?
Little Miss Adalyn who used to hate the pool LOVES it now! Those swimming lessons really paid off!

Chris spends hours throwing the kids in the pool!

Daddy and one of his little girls!

Daddy's Star Flyer! She BEGS him to throw her high!

Our little fish! He can now swim across the whole pool and can dive for and get rings off the bottom! And to think a few weeks ago we couldn't get him in the pool without his life jacket on!

Even Ozzie loves hanging out by the pool with us!

Flying High once again!

Myles loves to jump off of Daddy's shoulders!

Our little fish, Myles!

Gotta have cute toes for summer days! Went for red this time around for my hubby (his favorite color)!

Flipping through the air!

And landing!

I spend my days in my swim suit!

Even Ozzie loves swimming in the pool!

My stubborn little one whom I love!

Five on Friday!

1. I head home tomorrow! It has been such a wonderful, relaxing, fun vacation and I'm so glad I had this time to just hang out and be with Kristy, my family and many other friends I had a chance to meet up with. It has been an incredible 9 days. Thank You to everyone I got to see and hang out with and thank you Kristy for everything. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend to share life with! Lots of good memories, laughter, hard work and just girl time! I love you my friend!

2. Can't wait to see my kids and husband and get back into life with them tomorrow. While it was a nice break, I wish my family could of been in Michigan with me too. So many things that I did, I know they would of loved.

3. We went down to Lake Michigan one last time tonight and it was beautiful. I don't think I can ever put into words just how peaceful and calming Lake Michigan is. It was fun to do cartwheels on the beach with Kristy's kids and to watch all the boats and people. We were watching a bunch of teenage boys jump off the pier into the icy 62 degree water and I just had to laugh at all the memories that brought back up for me.

4. I have realized being in Michigan that I miss more and more things about this area every day. Things like good pizza, little ice cream shops on the lake, beach sand, Lake Michigan, green grass, trees, two lane highways, wildlife, boardwalks and pier jumping, family, boating, tubing, channels, campgrounds on the lake, small little beach towns to walk though, light houses, wooded trails, the breeze coming off the big lake and so much more....praying that we can somehow move back some time soon or that God will give me a big dose of peace in being in Arizona.

5. I can't believe that my best friend is moving to TN! I know, I know...we moved away first but it's hard to believe that she won't be here when we come to visit anymore.

Family!

Today my parents and I met my brother Lee, his fiance, Bridget and their two kids, Logan and Aubrey at a McDonald's. It was so good to see all of them. I so miss my brother and hate that I only get to see his kids a few times a year, if that. Plus I know he hates not seeing my kids as well.
My Mom and Aubrey. I haven't seen her since she was just a few days old, can't believe how big she is already.
