My brand new laptop which I am loving so far! I ended up with a Macbook Pro and so far I'm happy with it. We shall see if I'm still happy with it in a few months. It's so nice to have a computer that works in the house again. Our other one was almost 7 years old and just didn't like to work anymore.

Fixing our suburban! For some reason our suburban breaks down EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. my brother comes to visit. I'm just glad it does it when he is here since he actually knows a lot about vehicles and can fix just about anything! Tonight they put in a new water pump. Thanks Heavens for brothers who come to visit!

January Savings!

I started a new blog so I don't have to keep boring all of you with all my great deals! So far this month I have gotten $1,159.44 worth of groceries/household items for a total of $408.91 for a savings of $750.53! I'm Back!

So I'm back! I now have internet at home again. My new laptop should be here this week and I'm way excited about that! It was a good three weeks of not having internet. In some ways, it was a really good thing and in other ways a pain in the butt!

Things I learned about NOT having internet at home:

• I am not more productive without internet! I really thought if I didn't have internet my house would be cleaner, I would get a lot more done and all that jazz! Yeah, not so much! I just found other things to fill my time with. For instance, I read alot which is great but I don't feel guilty reading for some reason so I didn't feel the need to jump up and clean, do laundry, make dinner, get things done between chapters. When I'm reading on the internet I feel guilty (why this is, I do not know?) so I do jump up between reading facebook posts, blogs and what not to actually do something more productive. So yeah, not having the internet did nothing for me in terms of having a cleaner house and being more productive! I think I'm less productive without internet!
• When you pay 90% off your bills on-line, not having internet is a pain in the rear end!
• A lot more of my life is on the internet than I realize. For instance...college, friends, bills, information and communication! I really did feel out of the loop with everyone around me because I didn't have internet.
• I did manage to re-arrange my schedule so that I don't feel the need to get on the internet the moment I wake up! Yes, I have spent a lot of time on the internet since I've gotten it back but I think doing without it was a good thing for me!
• I like reading books! I have to admit I do some much reading on-line that it had been a long time since I actually sat down and read a real book! I read a bunch of books when I was without internet and it was wonderful! Right now I'm finally reading Harry Potter! Chris bought me the whole hardcover set two years ago and I never actually read them! I'm now in the middle of book three and loving that I have picked up my love of reading again!
  

So there you have it, what I learned without internet at home for three full weeks!

Great Arizona Pupper Theater!

Today I took Raelyn and Myles to see Cinderella at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater! Myle's preschool class puts on a Saturday family field trip each month and this was January's field trip!



My friend Stephanie's daughter Jenna is also in preschool so she went and took Jenna and then Stephanie invited our friend, Shawn to come and she brought her two girls.

Back in Arizona!

We made it home! It was a looooong trip but so worth it! Today I was unpacking stuff and Adalyn found this Santa Hat and was wearing it around the house!


I am also officially without internet at home! I forgot to pay our internet bill before we left for Michigan (oops!) and when I came home it was turned off! I called and payed our past due amount and was going to have it turned back on when I just decided to cancel internet for awhile! I am going to be getting a laptop in a few weeks and will probably be going to a wireless internet at that time anyway so I decided to take the plunge and live without internet at home for a few weeks! I'm hoping the change will do me good and I won't have any major withdrawls (wish me luck!!). I'm still checking my e-mail at night at the school but I don't have access to facebook right now and won't be updating my blog for awhile! So if you don't see me on the internet that is why, I haven't died....I'm just taking a much needed break from the internet world!

On our way back to Michigan we stopped by my brother's house to visit! The kids were excited to see the new baby!

It was a really good visit and I'm glad that we got to see my brother and his family before we headed back to Arizona!

We spent New Year's Eve at Chris's sister and brother-in-law's house! It was a ton of fun! Most of chris's family was there and my parents and brother came along with some friends. We spent the night playing card and dice games and just hanging out!
