A beautiful night at the park!

Tonight we headed over to the park. Broedy signed up to play baseball this year and Chris is going to be coaching his team. Broedy and Chris playing catch.

All the kids love the swings and we spent a lot of time on them. I even went on the swings with the kids. I forgot how much swinging can be:-)

Pieces of my day....

No, we did not get a new puppy. But I have been "puppy" sitting for a puppy the last few weeks! A co-worker of Chris got a puppy but lives pretty far from the school and so on nights they have meetings and such, I puppy sit! He's adorable, the kids love him and he's really good!



The two little ones love to play in the play room together.

I enjoy watching them interact with each other.

Watching them have fun together is one of the best parts of being a Mom.

My Sunday Deals!

I went shopping Sunday to get a few things that I could get really cheap! I know you are probably sick of me already, but I'm just so excited about savings angel that I have to share! I'm sure soon I won't be as excited and will stop posting pictures of groceries on my blog! But for now, you'll have to just put up with me and my excitement:-)

So here is what I got on Sunday (complete with pictures!!!):
3 boxes of hamburger helper @ $0.19 each = $0.57


2 packages of fiber one yogurt 4 count @ FREE!


2 packages of Betty Crocker Warm Delights @ FREE


1 box of Betty Crocker potatoes @ $0.19


2 boxes of Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie Mix @ $0.61 = $1.22


1 box of Betty Crocker Fiber One Apple Cinnamon muffin mix @ $0.23


4 boxes of Go Gurt Yogurt @ $0.99 = 3.96


2 packages of 24 water @ $2.99 = $5.98


Plus I got three two liters of pepsi @ $0.59 = $1.77

That is a total of TWENTY items. Total was $61.79 before coupons and discounts and I paid a total of $13.92 for a savings of $47.87 or 77% of my total! That averages out to just $0.70 an item!

Can you tell I'm loving this! It's so fun to go to the store and get stuff free or almost free!

I Love Coupons!

About 2 weeks ago I signed up for Savings Angel. It's a site that helps you match up sales in the store with coupons to get food at a really good price. The object is to stock up on items when things our on sale so you always have a full pantry and fridge/freezer in order to get the most out of your money. I decided to give it a try and I'm hooked! Last week I got eggo waffles for $0.50/box and Betty Crocker Fruit snacks for $0.20/box and keebler 12 pack snack packs for $1.00/box. It was awesome! So today I made my list, got my coupons all ready and headed to the store to get some more goodies!

This is what I got today:
2 loafs of Sara Lee Bread
2 bags of 12 Sara Lee Mini Bagels
10 boxes of General Mills Cereal
10 boxes of Betty Crocker brownie mix
10 boxes of Pillsbury Toaster Strudles
10 cans of pillsbury cresent rolls
10 cans of pillsbury Grand Bisquits
10 cans of pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
8 boxes of Hamburger Helper
2 boxes of Betty Crocker Potatoes
10 packages of Betty Crocker Cookie mix
1 Jar of Applesauce
1 bag of Doritos
1 bag of hamburger buns

That's a total of 87 name brand items! My total came to $243.60. The cashier swiped my VIP card and my total went down to $107.77. The cashier was like WOW that's great and I just smiled and handed him 48 coupons! He started laughing and said "when we are done, I'm going to own you money!". So he swiped my 48 coupons and my FINAL price was $65.19 for a total savings of $178.41!!! It was great!

Adalyn thought it was pretty cool as well!!!!

Today we puppy sat for a teacher at the school who just got a new puppy. Raelyn walked around all day with this puppy. She was a good puppy sitter:-)
