The Park!

Today we headed over to the park to let the kids play and fed the ducks. We ended up getting KFC chicken and having a picnic as well. It was a nice, sunny, warm, beautiful day and we really enjoyed just hanging out at the park with the kids.

Myles and his orange. They had orange trees in the park and so we picked a couple of oranges. We quickly found out when we tried eating one that they were not ripe yet. They were very, very, very sour. Myles liked carrying his orange around though and we ended up bringing it home.

Adalyn with the orange. She kept trying to eat it.

Myles would of sat in the swing all day long if we kept pushing him. He loves to swing.

Adalyn liked the swing as well.

We went to fed the ducks and they were following us when we were done. Here is a pictures of all the ducks following us while we took our walk.

All the different ducks. It's amazing how many different kinds of ducks there are at the park.

Peter Piper Pizza!

Today we drove to a farm where we thought we were going to be able to pick some fruits and let the kids play. It was a long drive and when we got there they were closed (After we had both called and checked on-line about their hours and were told they would be OPEN). Anyway, we were a bit upset and ended up taking the kids to Peter Piper Pizza (it's like a Chuck E Cheese). The kids loved it and we ended up having a good time!

Myles playing a game. He thought it was fun when the tickets would come out of the machines. He went around trying to take every one elses tickets out of the machine:-)

He liked this ride!

Surgery and Heading North

This morning Chris & I took Myles in to have tubes put in both ears. The surgery was at 7:30 a.m. and we had to be at Phoenix Children's Hospital at 6:30 to check in. Myles did great and the procedure was really fast (it was only about 20 minutes from the time they took him back until they came to get us). He seems to be doing fine and we were home by 9:00 a.m. this morning.

After we got back home, we packed up and headed to Northern Arizona! We took a drive up to Payson and went to the Tonto National Park. The weather was in the 60's and it was a beautiful day to hike and have a picnic lunch. We ate once we got to the park and then hiked down to see the bridge and then took another hike to check out a different waterfall.

After our hike, we took a drive up to Strawberry and pine. We were looking for some campgrounds to check out but they were all closed due to all the SNOW! We stopped at a small gas station to get some stuff and next to it was this:

Can you read the sign? It's the US Post Office for Happy Jack, Arizona! Seriously, it's not a joke...this was the real post office for where we were!

We then went about another mile and along side the highway there were a bunch of kids sledding. The kids were begging us to let them go so we stopped and let the kids play in the snow! It was AWESOME! It was in the high 50's and it was beautiful outside. The snow wasn't even melting and it was so nice to be able to be outdoors in jeans and a sweatshirt, watching the kids have fun in the snow without freezing my buns off. I can say that the best thing about living in AZ, is the weather! How cool is it that we live where it's in the 60's to 70's all winter long and if we do want to see snow, all we have to do is drive two hours north where there is enough snow to make us all happy!

Broedy & Raelyn running out in the snow. They were so super excited that we stopped and let them play! And YES that is Broedy with a short sleeved shirt on!

Evevation was 7000 where we were.

A couple of kids were kind enough to let Broedy & Raelyn use their sleds! Raelyn heading down the hill!

Myles wasn't so sure about the snow at 1st.
