Baseball and Bon-Fire

Tonight we went to our nephew, Colton's baseball game! He's 7 and it was fun to watch him play. They are just so darn cute at age seven!

The house......

Today we went over to my parent's house. They sold their house to the same gas company that bought our house. They had demo rights to it and so they had basically gutted the house and sold everything in it....windows, doors, trim, toilets, vanities, the fireplace, the fireplace mantel, carpet, tubs and just about anything else you can think of. They had a bunch of stuff they wanted us to go through to see if we wanted it. I ended up with my grandma's cedar chest (you can see it in the back of the suburban) and Chris had three army bags full of stuff from when he was in the army he went though.

I didn't take pictures of the house because in all honesty, I don't want to remember my parents house like that. The 1st time I saw the house (last week before Chris was here), I had to hold back tears because it was so heartbreaking to see their house like that. I watched my parents build this house, I was raising my kids in a house I loved (and that my parents also built) across the street from it and now both houses are gone. And it hurts and there are many times I question us leaving.......I know that we made the right decision in moving to Arizona. God shows me that over and over and over again in big and small ways. And I do have peace about our decision that I know can only come from God. But it still hurts to see a field where our house once stood and I know next time we go back, the place where my parents house once stood will also be a field.


Chris pulled out some of his old army stuff and my Grandpa tried it on! He ended up keeping this stuff so if you see him walking around Muskegon or at Wesco for his morning cup of coffee, say hi!

Lake Michigan Beach Day!

Today we spent most of the afternoon at the beach with the kids. They were even brave enough to get into Lake Michigan. I put my toes in and it was freezing!

Happy Birthday Aunt Pam!

After visiting with Heath and the kids we headed to my Aunt Pam & Uncle Dave's house again. We celebrated my Aunt Pam's birthday and just hung out! We ended up going out on Chris sister's boat in the afternoon but we didn't have our camera with us on the boat.

Uncle Heath's House

This morning we got up and headed to Holland to visit with Chris's brother, Heath and his kids. His wife was out of town on business, but it was fun to visit with Heath and the kids.

It was a beautiful morning and I enjoyed hanging out in the grass. Adalyn used me as a jungle gym and climbed all over me. I just LOVE Michigan grass and miss it out here in Arizona.

Open House

This morning we got up and my brother gave haircuts before we headed over to my Aunt and Uncle's house for my cousin Chad's Graduation Open House!

It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun seeing people we haven't seen in awhile and hanging out with my family.

Someone brought 2 week old puppies and the kids LOVED holding them. They were so cute and I'm just glad they were only 2 weeks old and not old enough to take home yet:-)

My Uncle Doug and I

The Family! This was one of the few times the whole family was together. We had come from Arizona, my Uncle Dan and his family came from California, my Uncle Doug and his family came from Wisconsin and my brother and his family was there from Indiana. It's rare that everyone is together at the same time so we took a family photo while we were together.
